A city driver risks spending six months behind bars if found guilty of beating up his wife’s friend.
David Okello is accused of assaulting Sheila Adhiambo on April 7 at Umoja III, claiming that she (Adhiambo) was hooking his wife up with other men. The court heard that on the fateful day, Okello bumped into Adhiambo at the gate and demanded to know why she wanted his marriage to crumble.
He reportedly started beating her and left her with serious body injuries.
Neighbours who heard the commotion rescued and rushed her to hospital. Okello was arrested. He denied the charges and was released on Sh20,000 bail. The case will be heard on August 31.
