A steady career in check, Betty Kyalo is the stunning KTN news anchor whose show, the Friday Briefing, has seen her bring a fun side to news and amass a following while at it.

Born and raised in Rongai, Betty is the second born in a family of four with two younger sisters and an elder brother.  After attending Olerai Primary and Uhuru Gardens Primary schools, she went on to pursue her education at Kangundo Girls High School, then joined Daystar University for her Journalism studies.

From a tender age, Catherine Kasavuli was her role model, as she loved how immaculately she presented the prime time news. It was on this basis, that her love an interest in joining the media blossomed.

Contrary to what many would think, Betty’s path was not entirely smooth sailing. In her teenage years, she suffered an accident that hospitalized her for months. As she narrated, this accident shook her confidence and sent her into depression even while she struggled with the healing process.

Fortunately her schoolmates encouraged her and counseling sessions also came in handy to get her through the ordeal.

Fast forward to 2010, Betty was back on track, confident, ambitious and interning at KTN as part of her University requirements. As an intern, her love for motor vehicles saw her host a motor show Auto World which was all about cars. Thanks to her show, car fanatics learnt about the latest car models and how to take care of their rides.

Soon after the TV Station re-branding, she was on Prime time on the “Friday Bulletin” where she brings influential guests to co-host the show with her.

Besides her media career, Betty is a mother and a role model to many young ladies who wish to grow up and follow in her steps. For this reason she is our WCW today.
