Mount Kenya University (MKU) Chairman has been asked to lose weight to fit in a graduation gown.
Simon Gicharu, the MKU founder allegedly weighs in excess of 120 kilos.
Gulu University Vice Chancellor, Prof Jack Nyeko Pen-Mogi, while addressing graduands during MKU’s sixth graduation ceremony, in a light note, asked Gicharu to drop some kilos or face health problems.
“I can see you do not fit in your gown,” Nyeko interjected.

The VC from Uganda is a close friend to Gicharu.
Gicharu told graduands, “You have no option but to succeed because if you don’t, I will not love to be associated with you.”
Kenya School of Law Director PLO Lumumba was the chief guest during the ceremony which saw 6,305 students graduate from the university.
