Tanzania’s legendary artiste, Lady Jaydee, says Kenyans have dubbed her a Kikuyu and wish she could migrate to Kenya.
The ‘Yahaya’ singer revealed that to Tanzania’s newspaper, Mtanzania.
“Unajua Wakenya wamekuwa wakisema mimi ni Mkikuyu, wanadai natakiwa nikaishi nchini kwao; wanajua mimi ni Mkikuyu ila nawaeleza ukweli ni kuwa naipenda Kenya, lakini mimi ni Mtanzania na daima nitaipenda nchi yangu (Kenyans have been saying that I am from the Kikuyu community, and that I should be living in Kenya. The truth is I love Kenya. However, I am Tanzanian and forever will cherish my country),” she said.
Lady Jaydee is planning to record a collabo once again with Burundi-born artiste, Kidum. They had earlier featured in the ‘Nitafanya’ hit which was well received across East and Central Africa.
