Kenya: Retired security servicemen under Kenya Veterans for Peace (KVP) have denied allegations that they are being used as contracted mercenaries and hitmen.
Speaking at a press conference in Nairobi yesterday, the KVP executive team said members are honest and cannot get involved in criminal activities.
"We are good people. Criminal involvement would go against everything we learnt while in service," said ex-Chief Inspector of Police and KVP member Felicitus Mwai, who joined the force in 1970.
KVP asked the Government to engage them into active duty to help boost national security in the country.
