The government has pledged to level the playing field within the country’s ICT sector through the development and implementation of policy and regulations in order to attract investment. Minister for information and technology, Samuel Poghisio cited many other countries envy Kenya's M Pesa system but cannot embrace it due to a prohibitive regulative environment. Meanwhile the government has also hired ict experts to better financial services in all departments that deal with finances. The minister was speaking at the ongoing connect Kenya ICT conference in Mombasa.
