Jowie has changed his name on Instagram.

Jowie first came into the limelight after he proposed to
media personality Jacque Maribe in July 2018.
Maribe posted the photos of the engagement on her Instagram handle but she has since deleted them. It is not confirmed whether the two of them broke up.
In September 26, 2018 Jowie was arrested in connection to
the murder of businesswoman Monica Kimani.
Jacque Maribe was also arrested and detained but was later released on Sh1 million cash bail or a Sh2 million bond with a surety of the same amount on October 30, 2018.
Jowie applied for bail application claiming he had been
suffering at the Kamiti Maximum Prison where he had been remanded since
September 2018.
He was forced to spend months in prison after he was denied bail.
However, on February 13, 2020, High Court Judge James
Wakiaga released Jowie on a Sh2 million cash bail but still remained behind
bars for a month as he could not raise the money.
His friends and family, through social media, raised the
money from well-wishers and Jowie was out of Kamiti prison on March 11.
