Police have arrested three people; two men and a woman who are believed to be behind vehicle breakage and theft.
The three were arrested in Mlolongo, Machakos County at Gateway Mall along Mombasa road.
Athi River Sub-county police commander, Samuel Mukuusi said that they were alerted by security officers at the Mall after the suspects were captured on CCTV camera breaking into vehicles.
“We have had several cases of vehicles’ breakages at the Mall. This is an issue that has been happening for a long time along Mombasa road. We are determined to break the syndicate,” said Mukuusi.
“We want to investigate where the suspects live. We are doing our best as police service to ensure that we manage crimes in the entire Athi River sub-county,” Mukuusi added.

Handbags and other things were recovered from the scene. The suspects were taken to Mlolongo Police Station.
The police have called upon those who might have been affected before to go to Mlolongo Police Station to record statements.
