Deputy President William Ruto on Tuesday hosted Kenyan online content creators at his Karen office and they left him in stitches.

Among those who met the DP included comedy group Propesa, Seth Gor, Jaymo Ule Msee, Auntie Jemimah and creative content developer Terence Macharia aka Kamami.

They all had a chance to showcase their work and Propesa were first to report that Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen had defaulted on a bet and urged DP Ruto to act.

They called Murkomen in Ruto’s presence and informed him that they had reported his ‘bad’ behavior.

The DP burst out in laughter as he promised to ensure Murkomen honours his bet.

In another scene, popular online content creator Jaymo Ule Msee asked the DP whether he had registered for the Huduma Namba to which he answered in the affirmative.

Kamami also interacted with the DP and acted out a scene where he was the caretaker tasked with disconnecting Ruto’s water but is star-struck and decides to let the DP off the hook.

Ruto noted that content creation is creating jobs for the youth and has greatly enriched local media programming.

“We are building an enabling environment for content creators to do their thing, especially in the digital space, which is key to creating jobs; enriching local media programming; promoting talent and enhancing the creative economy,” said the DP.
