Detectives attached to the Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) on Thursday arrested a notorious female robber who is believed to be behind a series of break-ins in Nairobi.
Margaret Waithira Kamande was arrested while waiting to board a flight to Dar es Salaam and was described as a ‘notorious house breaker’.
Further, the DCI revealed that the suspect was being trailed and she was captured on several CCTV cameras breaking into apartments and offices within Nairobi.
Also, she was linked to an incident where an AP Sergeant was shot at the Blue Hut hotel.

“The said suspect is also believed to have been involved in an incident whereby @APSKenya Sergeant-who had responded to information on suspicious characters-was shot at the Blue Hut hotel,” revealed the DCI.
She is also wanted by INTERPOL Zimbabwe & other East African countries after she jumped bail which was granted by a Zimbabwean court in offences related to housebreaking, burglary and Stealing.
She had been on the run until her arrest.
