A postmortem report for a teacher allegedly killed by an AP officer has shown that she was killed by a single bullet shot at close range.
According to Kakamega County General Hospital Chief Pathologist Dixon Mchana, Christine Maonga, who was a teacher at Navakholo Secondary School, died from a single bullet that penetrated the head through to the lungs.
This was revealed on Wednesday as the Independent Police Oversight Authority (IPOA) came on board to assist with the investigators.
Patrick Nyapara has been arraigned for the murder, but he is yet to take plea. The AP is said to have shot Maonga on March 14 at her rented house in Navakholo.
The matter shall be mentioned on March 25 for further directions.
