Bishop Allan Kiuna and his wife Rev Kathy Kiuna, founders of Jubilee Christian Church (JCC), are once again at the center of a heated online debate after announcing a mentorship program that will cost Sh15,000.

Posts shared on official social media pages of the couple stated that the three-month mentorship program will start in March 2019 and is aimed at ‘raising a generation of skilled and effective leaders.’

“My husband @bishopkiuna and I are starting a 3 month mentorship program in March 2019. Leaders are made, great husbands and wives are made, amazing fathers and mothers are made, successful business people are made none of them born and my husband and I are interested in raising a generation of skilled, effective leaders, parents, spouses, business people and faith warriors.

“We would love for you to learn from our mistakes, be empowered, clarify your vision & purpose and climb on our shoulders to create your own marks and pave your way,” read a post by Kathy.

Kenyans online were, however, divided on the issue. While some lauded the couple for coming up with such an excellent program, others questioned why it is costly, considering the class will be only two hours per week.

A section of netizens castigated the Kiunas, accusing them of fleecing their flock. On the other hand, staunch members of JCC expressed their desire to be nurtured by the bishop to become better at what they do and grow wholesomely.

Here are some of the reactions:

“Why y'all catching feelings on the Kiuna's and you ain't even the TA, they've not forced anyone to chuck the money!”

“If at 25 you don't know how to be a man then nothing can help. Hapa huyu kiuna anataka pesa za bure”

“15000×100= Sh. 1500000 Kiuna family only need 100 Men and 100 Women to make 3M.”

“Bishop kiuna can give you his watch and you are out of poverty forever.”

“Am not saying that the Kiuna's are genuine... That is between them and God. My point is, this is not a surprise. People do pay for mentorship programs and they learn a lot. This is not new. It's for those who feel the need to invest in themselves and gain knowledge.”

“Ile jasho Reverend Kiuna hutoa akihubiri, you people just have to double up your tithes! Hamna option!”

“Exactly why is everyone upset about the Kiuna's charging for mentoring classes? What's the actual rage about?”

“This is awesome and super..Thank you @revkathykiunaand @bishopkiuna ,for laying that platform for us,to learn and be greater in our generation.”

“God you know how much I WANT to be in this class,YOU KNOW..”
