Two employees Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) were arrested on Saturday 16 February after they were caught stealing luggage straps.

According to the Director of Criminal Investigations (DCI) the two employees identified as Mr. Evans Okola Agunda and an Intern-Ms. Mercy Chepkorir.

The two were captured in a video posted by DCI stealing luggage straps belonging to the African Freight Services at JKIA.

In the video, one of the suspects believed to me Mr Okola, is seen packing the car next to a heap of airport luggage. He leaves the car, walks to the heap, surveys the area, then picks up a luggage strap and puts it on the front seat of the car.

He then goes back to the car and comes out gain, picks another luggage strap and put in on the back seat of the car. All this time, Mr Okola is also seen communicating with the other suspect, Ms Chepkorir who according to the video, did not leave the car.

Mr Okola later goes back to the car and drives off.

DCI says the two suspects were arrested and taken to custody. They will be charged on Monday 18 February.
