Carilton David Maina, a student at the University of Leeds in the United Kingdom was gunned down by the police at Kibera’s Line Saba Estate.
According to Kilimani police boss Michael Muchiri, the 23-year-old student was among a group of thugs who had been terrorising residents.
His friends and relatives, however, have termed his death an extra-judicial killing arguing that he was headed home after watching a football match in a local joint.
Carilton scored an A (plain) at Maseno School and got a scholarship to pursue electronic and communication engineering course in the UK.
