A Deputy Governor who has expressed interests in succeeding his boss in 2022 is a distressed man.
The politician is worried that the close working relationship an MP who has expressed interest in the same seat has with Deputy President William Ruto may likely disadvantage him.
The deputy county boss was overheard during the weekend, mulling about moving to Nairobi and having a residence in the capital so that he gets easier access to the DP, like the lawmaker.
For years, the politician is said to have considered himself the front-runner for the post which will fall vacant in 2022, since his boss will be not eligible to run. This was before the veteran legislator who is highly connected announced his bid.
