President Uhuru Kenyatta on 18th October asked the country to join in prayers for the country in preparation to the forthcoming repeat presidential election. The president begun by quoting a scripture that talks about seeking God, repentance and forgiveness.
Uhuru said that as after his talks with various religious leaders, Sunday the 22nd has been set for all Kenyans to pray for their country.
Here is a video of what he said early in State house before leaving for Nanyuki for his campaign rally.
This call has seen many Kenyans express their views on social media platforms with most of them saying they don’t see the need for such a day.
