It is an open secret that political parties dish out nomination slots to who-is-who in the outfits or individuals with big purse. But it is the caliber of individuals nominated in one of the county assemblies in Nyanza that has baffled diehards of one of the country’s major political party.
Word reaching Grapevine is that at least 10
out of 13 nominated county legislators in the assembly cannot communicate in
either Kiswahili or English, begging the question how they were settled on.

The assembly in question has been turned to a laughing stock despite its locals being known for their mastery of the queen's language.
