Uhuru while addressing students at the Main Campus during his visit to Kisii and Nyamira counties noted the infrastructural challenges that the university was facing, and promised to lend a helping hand.
“My Government will facilitate the financing of stalled projects in the university so that it meets the necessary requirements by Commission for University Education,” he said.
Some projects including an ICT centre and Ultra-modern hostels had been stalled for over eight years.
Early this year, a report by CUE recommended closure of some of the satellite campuses of Kisii University after they were found to be operating below required standards.
