Slightly over 4000 students graduated from Egerton University during the 35th graduation Ceremony and they left with big hopes and dreams for their future.

The speech from the Vice Chancellor was assuring the students that now they have the power to read and do all that appertains to their degrees.

The opportunity to move out of university and seek a better and greener pasture is a dream of every student (Considering how public universities make students life hard).

The graduates were to receive their certificates 30days after their graduation which was on 9th December. January came and the university again pushed the day of issuance of the certificates to 30th of January and up to date no one even knows when they will receive it.

The story from the university currently is that the lecturers are on strike and we are only wondering what has that got to do with the issuance of certificates.

4000 graduates who want to try their luck in looking for a job but they can't do that because they have nothing to prove they actually went to school. No certificates, No transcripts...

What is the Ministry doing?

What is the plight of these innocent Kenyans?

Is it their fault?
