Daystar University has installed a new chancellor as it moves to set up distance e-learning in a year’s time.
Prof Mary Murimi, who becomes the university’s third chancellor, was unveiled on Saturday at the university’s campus in Athi River, during its 38th graduation ceremony.
“My own journey began in a very humble way. I was the first child and my father was a driver who only earned Sh30 per month,” she said.
Prof Murimi is a professor at Texas Tech University in the US. About 812 students students from 14 different countries graduated with various degrees.
