Most online accounts and portals allow users to set a security question and answer for easier recovery of passwords.
The Kenya Revenue Authority’s iTax platform is no different as it has also been allowing users to recover their passwords. The only challenge that persisted for years is that in case you could bot recall the security question and answer, you had to call the authority’s contact centre or do a mail just to get a new password.
This did not go down well with many taxpayers. However, KRA has resolved the challenge by scrapping the security question and answer function which has made it easier to reset one’s password.
Kudos to KRA for progressively making the once a jigsaw iTax platform more user friendly.
