Mass Communication students at the Jomo Kenyatta University of Science and Technology (JKUAT) recently held their first ever pool party to raise funds to buy adult diapers for patients at Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH).
The event, dubbed ‘Buy a Coke, Share a Feeling, Share a Smile; Buy an Adult Pamper’, was organised by Team Media Infinite Organisation, who partnered with Coca-Cola.
The nurse in-charge at KNH, Sister Margaret Kimani,who received the donations, thanked the students for their efforts to support a worthy initiative.
“The diapers will come in handy, especially for patients with urinary complications, and those who cannot afford to buy them,” said Sister Kimani.
The students thanked the various parties who were involved in the event.

“It was encouraging to see how the community around Juja is helping students from JKUAT. The Coca-Cola Company agreed to partner with us to support the initiative. It was a really good gesture and we are grateful to them for that,” said one of the organisers.
