Samburu, Kenya: Four people were killed and one seriously injured during a night raid carried out at Bukoi area in Samburu.
The Wednesday 3am incident saw suspected Pokot raiders drive away up to 400 herds of cattle, police said.
Police added that an operation was launched and some of the stolen cattle have been recovered.
Locals said the bodies of those killed were yet to be collected on Wednesday afternoon because the area of the attack was deep in the village.
Police said the attackers were heavily armed and targeted those who resisted the raid.
