Police gunned down two suspects and recovered two pistols in Nairobi's Githurai 44. One of the suspects was killed in a botched robbery.
Police say he was in the company of three others and had snatched a mobile phone from a female pedestrian when an alarm was raised alerting officers on patrol.
Nairobi police boss Benson Kibue said he was shot dead and a pair of handcuffs, the stolen mobile phone and other valuables recovered.
The second suspect was shot dead along Enterprise Road and two pistols found after a foiled robbery. This brings to almost 15 the number of suspects killed in Nairobi in one week. Four were Monday afternoon shot dead by police after a chase in Parklands.
