Nairobi, Kenya: Police are investigating an incident in which a pistol was found abandoned in a bar toilet in Jam Rescue area, Nairobi.
The pistol had eight bullets and was discovered by another reveller who went to relieve himself Wednesday night at the bar. The reveller later called his colleagues and bar management before police were alerted.
Nairobi police boss Benson Kibue said they suspect the weapon was abandoned by a thug by mistake and a hunt for him is ongoing.
“We have checked our records and established it is an illegal gun. We are trying to establish who the owner could be and it is believed the man or woman forgot it there,” he said.
