A policewoman on the Southern Bypass is enriching herself from siphoned fuel rom trucks.
Workers at a depot on Mombasa Road claim the officer frequently benefits from smuggled fuel.
According to witnesses, the officer on December 18, while on patrol on the Southern Bypass, confiscated about 90 litres of fuel that had been illegally siphoned out of one of the earthmovers.
The construction workers claimed that the officer in Land Cruiser GKA 759M filled the vehicle with about 20 litres before leaving with the remaining fuel.
The officer is also said to frequent the depot on Mombasa Road where she harasses long distance drivers to give her fuel.
“We are wondering why she is not using the money allocated for fuel by the government. Where does the money go? More so she does this while in uniform,” one of the drivers said.
