Record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia will be hoping to maintain their four-point lead at the top of the FKF Premier League standings when they travel to face Bandari at Mbaraki Sports Complex today in the round 24 midweek matches.

K'Ogalo are currently top on 49 points ahead of their duel with the Dockers in Mombasa and head coach Jonathan McKinstry is confident they can maintain their form.

Gor have lost only two matches in their last 19 matches played and despite having played one game more than defending champions Tusker, McKinstry said their focus is to win.

"We played really well against Sharks and now we have to play even better against Bandari who thrive at their home ground with home support.

"We are not looking at what our opponents behind us are doing because we want fully focus and to win each and every game we play going forward. We are under no pressure," said McKinstry.

Gor will hope Benson Omalla end's his two-match goal drought after netting the winner against Bandari during the first leg last December.

In their last five meetings, Gor has won two matches while the rest ended in draws.

At Ruaraka, defending champions Tusker will be hoping to keep pressure on Gor when they face Mathare United.

Tusker are unbeaten in their last eight matches (six wins and two draws) and will cut the gap between them and Gor to one point if the leaders fail to beat Bandari.

"The mentality of the squad in the camp and during matches is commendable. We have picked nine maximum points in our last three matches, a feat that will go along way in motivating the team as we enter crunch times in the league," Tusker coach Robert Matano said.

Ruaraka will host a double header with Posta Rangers taking on Bidco United in the early kick-off match from 1pm.

Another double header will be at the new Police Sacco Stadium where Kariobangi Sharks will face off against Kakamega Homeboyz in the early kick off before Kenya Police play Nairobi City Stars.
