Sports Journalist Milton Nyakundi has declared his candidature for the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) presidency ahead of the upcoming elections.
Nyakundi lined up his seven–point football development agenda anchored towards developing grassroots football, youth, women, national, capacity building, players welfare and corporate governance.
In his national agenda, Nyakundi pointed out that his main goal will be to take Harambee Stars back to Africa Cup of Nations in 2023 and ensure Kenya qualifies for the 2026 World Cup.
He also said his administration will be on the front foot to engage former players in mentorship programs, coaching roles and administrative works across the board and lift the country’s poor sports infrastructure.
Nick Mwendwa left his role as Football Kenya Federation (FKF) president in November last year.

This is after being arrested and charged for alleged corruption and misappropriation of funds at the federation.
Sports CS Amina Mohammed proceeded to disband the FKF and football is currently being manned by a Caretaker Committee.
Mwendwa was elected for the first time as FKF president on February 2016 and was reelected on October for a second five-year term.
