Manchester United is set to put England defender Chris Smalling on the market this summer, according to reports.
Jose Mourinho has apparently gone off the 27-year-old and is keen to bring in a world class centre-half, claims the Daily Star.
Mourinho will be given a huge war chest to spend on overhauling his squad and will tell Smalling he is no longer wanted.
Smalling is an injury doubt for Wednesday’s Europa League final but Mourinho is likely to choose Phil Jones in his starting XI.
