Liverpool considering Sothampton’s star swoop

Liverpool are lining up a bid for Southampton forward Sadio Mane, according to reports.

The Guardian say Jurgen Klopp has turned his attention to the Senegal international after Mario Gotze pledged his future to Bayern Munich.

Klopp had been hopeful of linking back up with his former Borussia Dortmund charge Gotze at Anfield but the German playmaker earlier this week made it clear he intends to fight for his Bayern future.

Saints striker Mane would cost Liverpool significantly more than the £20million fee that was being mooted for Gotze’s signature.
