Kenyan Premier League (KPL) side Nairobi City Stars have unveiled the biggest club sponsorship in the country after bringing on board German nutritional firm Fitline.
The company will sponsor City Stars to a tune of Sh81 million over a period of three years.
It dwarfs the recently signed Sh75 million three-year sponsorship between Mathare United and Britam.
Under the sponsorship, City Stars will receive Sh2.25 million a month for three years.
Apart from that the company which deals in nutritional products, will supply supplements worth Sh100,000 to the club every three months as well as subsidise flight and travel tickets by up to 40 percent in case City Stars are to travel out of the country.
In return, City Stars will wear kit branded with one of the company’s major products.
Until yesterday, City Stars were among the three clubs in the KPL without a shirt sponsor. Others still in the same situation are champions Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards.
