Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology (MMUST) and defending National Sevens Circuit champions KCB progress to the quarterfinals of the Kabeberi Sevens which kicked off on Saturday at the RFUEA Grounds.

KCB defeated Western Bulls 31-14 opening round before seeing off rivals Kabras Sugar 22-5 while Masinde Muliro were 19-5 winners over Western Bulls, having defeated Kabras Sugar 17-12 in their opening fixture in Group A.

In the final match, KCB thrashed MMUST 40-7 to finish top of the group.

In Group C, Menengai Oilers and Homeboyz advanced to the cup quarters. Oilers were 19-5 winners over Blak Blad while Homeboyz put Kenya Harlequin to the sword with a 45-0 whitewash.

Homeboyz thrashed Blak Blad 29-0 as Oilers saw off Quins 24-14 in their opening pool matches.

Strathmore Leos defeated Nondies 19-10 in Group B before Kabeberi defending champions Mwamba saw off Mean Machine 32-0.
