Nakuru, Kenya: Fire gutted down rental houses Pipeline Estate in Nakuru County near Manasseh Petrol station, leaving over six tenants stranded and property of unknown value destroyed.
The inferno brought down the houses causing fear and panic among the residents who claimed that illegal fuel business have been taking place in the rentals.
It took time for police officers and disaster response team to respond to the call with residents accusing police of having hand in the illegal business.
The evening inferno, which was later contained, left no one injured as firefighters from Nakuru Municipal and Kenya Pipeline rushed to the scene to rescue the situation.
Cases of illegal fuel business within the county has been reported in the recent past with police being accused of sleeping on their duty.
