A woman is receiving treatment at Kabarnet District Hospital with deep cuts to her head after she was allegedly attacked by her husband over a Sh50 dispute.
Dina Chemjor sustained the injuries following a quarrel triggered by a misunderstanding over the money which her husband, Daniel Kemboi, allegedly wanted to snatch from her.
According to Vincent Kiptui, Kemboi's brother, the two have never quarrelled and he was shocked to find Chemjor lying helplessly on the ground, bleeding profusely, after his brother alerted him that he had "done something bad".
"I immediately called the chief, sub-chief and police who rushed Chemjor to hospital and arrested Kemboi," he said.
Doctors say the injured woman is now in stable condition.
