A section of the party, led by EALA MP Kanini Kega, has been at loggerheads with the other team led by Jeremiah Kioni over internal leadership wrangles.

Uhuru is expected to use the meeting to assert his authority against the Kanini Kega faction, which has threatened to overthrow the party's leadership.

Kega's team expelled Kioni and Murathe on Friday on allegations of gross misconduct and for failing to respect the party's organs.

Jubilee National Treasurer Kagwe Gichohi was also suspended for two years.
