NAIROBI: Samsung Electronics Friday opened its largest store in East Africa along Monrovia Street, Nairobi.
Samsung Vice President East Africa, Robert Ngeru, said the additional store is part of the company’s investment to expand its retail network. “This store will give customers the opportunity to not only inquire about our devices but also experience them real-time,” he said.
Ngeru noted that the opening of the shop was informed by the current consumer trends that are driven by innovation, technology and lifestyle.
“This shows our commitment and passion to continue serving our consumers in the most innovative, fast and reliable manner.”
“And as we grow our retail network, at Samsung we are cognisant of the consumer trends and each of their different needs as technology evolves day by day.”
The store has kids' zone that will help children interact with devices and grow with technology in mind.
It also has a customer service centre, zone for young adults such as gaming zone and premium lounge for customers to be trained as they have a soft drink.
Ngeru indicated plans for the company to increase stores to more than 30 by end of year.
