Kenya: Unilever has appointed Marc Engel its new Executive Vice President for East Africa and New Markets.

Engel will lead Unilever’s business in East Africa to deliver the company’s consumer and market growth strategy. He will also lead business development across Africa in New Markets where Unilever does not yet have presence.

Mr Engel said he was very keen to be a part of the Unilever East Africa team, adding, “This is an exciting time for our business. East Africa is a key hub for our Africa operations and with the Unilever team we are constantly raising the bar towards providing brands and services that people can trust to help them feel good, look good and get more out of life,” he added.

Engel replaces Yaw Nsarkoh who will now head Unilever Nigeria after four years in Kenya.
