The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has announced that the late Msambweni MP Suleiman Dori Ramadhani will be buried today evening.

 According to the Orange Party, the legislator will be laid to rest on Monday at 4 pm at his home village of Gazi, in Msambweni Constituency, Kwale County. Dori will be buried in accordance with Muslim burial customs.

Dori died on Monday at 5 am at the Aga Khan Hospital in Mombasa where he was undergoing treatment. Details about his illness are scanty but sources reveal that the legislator suffered from an undisclosed illness, which pushed him to the limit of being admitted to the Intensive Care Unit days before his death.

However, the ODM party said on its Twitter page that the MP succumbed to cancer.

Speaking after viewing the body of the late Dori,some Members of Parliament and the public eulogised him as a man that loved his people.

 “He will be remembered for his great deeds to his people. Since he got the parliamentary seat, infrastructure has improved,” said Changamwe MP Omar Mwinyi.

“It is a gap for all of us. May the Lord comfort his family,” said Mishi Mboko Likoni MP   

 “We did not have schools, he built schools and even paid fees for some students. He will be greatly remembered for his hardwork,” said a resident from Msambweni.
