A fourth suspect was arrested in connection with last weekend’s incident in which police officers robbed two businessmen of Sh6 million from lodging in Eastleigh, Nairobi.
Constable Simon Mwaniki who has been on the run was arrested in Ruiru on Wednesday evening by detectives who had been on his trail.
He later took police to his two houses in Njiru area for a search.
Police recovered 22 bullets, two bulletproof jackets, Sh29,000 and US dollars 8,800 fake papers, two green helmets, five police personal files, an inventory book, 15 speed governors and recorded compliance certificates and two forged driving licenses.

Mwaniki is a police officer attached to Kayole Police Station. His three other colleagues had been arrested immediately after the robbery on Saturday.
Nairobi County Commander Philip Ndolo said they are looking for more suspects in connection with the incident.
On Saturday after the first arrest the officers managed to recover Sh3.5 million, three pistols and 45 rounds of ammunition from suspects.
Mwaniki is said to have handed over his firearm to a senior police officer after the robbery before escaping from the station.
Officials said senior officer, a Commissioner of Police attached to the National Police Service headquarters, has recorded a statement with detectives.
Officials said the after arrested officer escaped from Eastleigh with about Sh2.5 million, he went to Kayole Police Station where he handed over the money and a pistol to a female officer who has since been arrested alongside an operator of a local police canteen.
A court ordered that the two be detained for three days ahead of their official plea.
The robbery was captured on CCTV cameras. Officials said six people went to Barwqo Lodge in Eastleigh and robbed Mohammed Hassan Mohammed and Abdulahi Hussein Yusuf of $60,000 (Sh6 million).
The victims raised the alarm as the suspects fled. Police officers on patrol responded and managed to arrest four of the suspects.
This marked the latest incident in which police are involved in crime in the country amid plans for mass retraining.
