Faced with continuous water supply challenges, Nairobi will next week hold a seminar aimed at restoring sanity in the sector.
Jointly sponsored by the Water Services Providers (WSP) and Swap-BfZ, the three-day conference to be held in South C will seek among other things to automate water services provision in the country.
WSP says the move will improve service delivery and increase revenue for players.
Despite the fact that a number of water service providers have in the recent past installed automation solutions, only a few have success stories.

“The approach we are currently introducing is to have a more modern technology, known as GIS, integrated into all company operations as opposed to viewing it as a technical tool,” said Mr Rop Kiplagat, the Managing Director of Computing Development Strategies, a firm charged with ICT solutions in the water sector.
