Muranga, Kenya: A police officer was arrested hours after he shot dead his boss and Muthithi OCS in unclear circumstances in Muranga County.
The two were in office Sunday evening when the incident happened. The driver identified as constable Lelei used the OCS’ pistol to shoot him dead before he tried to escape.
The OCS Chief Inspector Henry Odongo was pronounced dead as he was being treated at a local hospital at about 8 pm Sunday while the assailant was arrested hours later, officials said.
It is not clear what caused the rift between the two leading to the shooting incident, Muranga police commander Naomi Ichami said.
