Garissa, Kenya: At least two Kenya Defence Forces soldiers were Tuesday morning killed and eight others wounded when a truck they were traveling in was involved in an accident along Garisa- Ijara road.
They were killed after ammunitions they were carrying went off following the accident, officials said.
Military spokesman Bogita Ongeri said the accident occurred between Hulugho and Bura within Ijara District.
"At least eight others were injured following the accident. Experts are working to establish its cause," said Ongeri adding that the survivors were responding well in hospital.
