Former Ramogi FM presenter and veteran broadcaster Agawo Patrobas has passed on.

Patrobas, who had a stellar career at the national broadcaster KBC, died while undergoing treatment at Nairobi hospital.

The 69 year old was a rhumba host at Royal Media’s Ramogi FM and his show would go on air over the weekends.

He is fondly remembered having worked and associated with veteran icons at the KBC English Service with the likes of Elizabeth Omollo and Willy Mwangi.

Fellow journalist paid tribute to him describing the late Patrobas as a maestro contributed immensely to the exponential growth of the media industry and inspired a generation.

Among those who paid tribute are Kenya Union of Journalist (KUJ) Secretary General Eric Oduor who remembered him as being part of a group he was in.

“A gang of robbers was a member of Raskamboni before we formed Raskapedo. Go well Agao Papa, we will miss you,” mourned Oduor.
