Rough Guides, a United Kingdom travel magazine, has ranked Nairobi City third-best 2017 travel destination after Paris in France and Isfahan in Iran.
“Nairobi, Africa’s youngest fastest growing metropolis and the beating heart of the continent’s largest economy, has for too long been overlooked,” said the magazine.
On top 10 countries category, India was voted the best country in the world to visit in 2017 while Scotland and Canada came second and third, respectively.
Uganda was fourth overall, Bolivia fifth, Nicaragua sixth, Portugal seventh, Finland eighth, Namibia ninth and Taiwan finished the list.
