Tributes have been paid to Dennis Giggs - the late grandfather of Manchester United legend Ryan.

Dennis, from Cardiff and believed to be in his late 70s, had been suffering from cancer, report Wales Online.

Cardiff and Vale Reds, a Cardiff-based Manchester United supporters' club that Dennis Giggs was believed to be close to, posted their condolences on Facebook earlier today.

"It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dennis Giggs; a true gentleman who was a great friend to all who knew him at the branch.
