Kenyan singer Kizo B, best known for his hit song Ulinibeep, has been released from custody following a legal battle that saw him detained in a police cell in Shanzu, Mombasa County and Shimo La Tewa prison.

He announced his freedom in an emotional video posted on Instagram, expressing gratitude to his supporters and signaling the start of a new chapter in his life.

In the video, Kizo B, visibly relieved and joyful, captioned his post:

"Freedom at last! The storm is over, and a new chapter begins. I give all glory to God for seeing me through," he said.

His arrest was made public when he resurfaced in a distressing video from the Shanzu police cell, pleading for help amid what he described as a challenging legal battle.

At the time, he also dismissed false reports of his death, revealing that his social media accounts had been hacked, which fueled rumors and confusion among his fan base.

In the video, he reassured his followers that he was alive and well, while calling for support to navigate his legal troubles.

Kizo B relocated to Mombasa to invest in land, now finds himself entangled in a legal dispute. According to him, he was accused of threatening someone's life with a machete, an allegation he strongly denied.

He maintained that the accusations against him were baseless, explaining that land ownership issues in Mombasa often lack clear documentation, making disputes difficult to resolve legally.

The singer's release has been met with an outpouring of support from fans and fellow artistes alike and reports has it that fellow musician Bahati has extended an offer of doing a free collaboration with him.

He sent out a special thanks to Mzazi Willy Tuva and Collins Muraya as well as his girlfriend for their unwavering support and to everyone who made his release possible.

"The case is closed, and my new life begins. I'm ready to move forward with purpose, and I appreciate all the love and support as I step into this fresh start. Blessings upon blessings!"
