Tanzania's Harmonize has addressed his fans after failing to perform at Nigerian star Burna Boy's concert. The event took place on March 1 at Uhuru Gardens, Nairobi.
The Bongo sensation took to his Instagram page to explain that he could not perform at the concert due to technical challenges. He had previously confirmed his attendance, leaving fans eagerly anticipating his performance.
"The only reason I could not get on stage and perform is simply because I did not do the sound check, so they could not just allow me to enter the stage like that. It does not happen that way," he said.
The Dharau singer insisted that he would have delivered an electrifying performance had he done the sound check.
However, this was not the only controversy surrounding the Niambie hitmaker. Before travelling to Kenya, he had issued a warning to any artiste attempting to undermine his visit, stating they would have a tough time.
As expected, Willy Paul responded to Harmonize's statement, saying, "Kama nilifukuza babako, wewe nani? Nitakupiga ukonde. The only gang I recognise is Mbuzi Gang, na huku tunapiga mbilikimo," in an Instagram post, taking shots at Harmonize, also known as Konde Boy.
Some netizens speculated that Harmonize had skipped the performance due to Willy Paul's "threat." One user commented, "Hivi yani Pozee kakuingizisha baridi?" However, Konde Boy did not respond to the speculations or Willy Paul's remarks.
Instead, the Matatizo singer praised Burna Boy's performance, commending the event's organisation.
"It was really great to witness such a performance-unbelievable. Not just watching him perform, but I am proud of him because of the level he has brought-from the sound equipment to the team's organisation. Burna Boy was on stage exactly at 10:30 p.m., as scheduled, which is incredible. They were very serious, and East Africa, seeing this, we have definitely learned something," he said.
