Governor Kawira Mwangaza's husband Murega Baichu has turned to music as a powerful tool to defend his embattled wife and counter critics who have called for her impeachment.

While performing during a live TV show of church service, the Meru County First Gentleman held nothing back as he went on a musical rampage.

"You came to Meru and stated that there is no Governor in Meru and that Kawira is not the governor. If she (Kawira) is not the governor, then tomorrow early in the morning who will be in the governor's office signing administrative papers," he sang.

For Nandi Senator Samson Chergagei, the one-man guitarist was not mincing his words, reminding him that Governor Kawira was not treated fairly when it came to the impeachment process.

"In Nandi county, when it comes to impeachment, you bring your MCAs together and they stop the process. But when it comes to Meru Chergagei, you want to Impeach Governor Kawira Mwangaza. Shame on you for bringing animosity in Meru County," he went on..

When it was Embu Senator Alexander Mundigi's turn to be on the receiving end of the jibes, he was asked to go and put his house in order as it was divided.

The banter ended with Meru Senator Kathuri Murungi being accused of adding fuel to the flames of animosity that have engulfed the county.

This is not the first time that Baichu is belting tunes to defend his wife who calls him "The Favoured Man". During the height of the impeachment politics, Baichu went on stage doing a rendition of Saida Karoli's song Wenye Wivu Wajinyonge, where he accused Governor Kawira's accusers of being jealous of the work she was doing in the county.
