I am deeply sad to learn of the passing of one of Kenya’s top political orators, Hon. Kalembe Ndile “Mtoto wa Squatter”. Hon. Ndile was a brave voice of the people. A self-made leader, he was a darling to audiences & to us all. A huge loss to our region. Kenya has lost a hero. pic.twitter.com/qv9awv7rZ7 — Dr. Alfred Mutua (@DrAlfredMutua) May 30, 2021
Rest in peace Kalembe Ndile. One of the few politicians in Kenya who laced his conversations with irresistible humour and interacted seamlessly with folks irrespective of social class. His energy & appearances in the media lately belied his ill health. Till we meet again brother. — Vincent Ndege Maosa (@NdegeMaosa) May 30, 2021
It's very sad to see the only politician who used humour to remain relevant to his people even after being defeated in an election..

He was abused for being illiterate but Rose to the occasion & proved leadership by educating the entire Village. The times I have spent with kalembe ndile, he is a cool person, a replica of a father figure. I am saddened by his demise. My heart is heavy. TIP TIP... Amani Kenya. That is how I will remember Kalembe Ndile. He struggled to overcome poverty. He was a realist and he had a sense of humor. Uneducated, but smarter than most educated folk. He lives on as a testament that making it in this life is possible against all odds. — Nahashon Kimemia (@nahashon87) May 30, 2021
