Kobi Kihara

For the better part of Friday former NTV presenter was the talk of town after it emerged that the so called ‘bad ass’ salad she claimed she had made was lifted from the internet.

Of the many keen Kenyans who noticed something was amiss was Kiss FM presenter Shaffie Weru who was amongst the first people to call her out.

‘@kobikihara Saw the same piece on pinterest didn’t know it was your recipe,’’ he posted.

Trolled by Kenyans for plagiarism, the media personality was forced to take down most of her posts going from over 1300 to 427 posts currently.

After the salad got her into all manner of troubles, Kobi tried to pacify Kenyans online by issuing an apology and an explanation.

‘’I’m sorry to everyone who I mislead, forgive me. I should have thought twice perhaps and I guess it got away from me. And to my friends in the DM and on WhatsApp thanks for the lovely messages, I’m ok…really to the trolls and bullies…it’s ok! I can handle being an online punching bag, go for it,’’ she wrote.

Unfortunately, Kenyans would have none of it and a #KobiKiharaChallenge was set in motion.

Despite her efforts to right her wrongs, Kenyans are still on her neck despite hinting on the possibility of a new show.

‘’Watajua aje kuna show new ina come Kama wananitukana tukana tu,’’ she posted in response to one of the comments.

As trolls continue to bay for her blood days after the hilarious incident, Kobi Cat or Copy Kihara as she is now being referred to as, continues to apologize to all those she offended and misled.

‘’I was going to run and hide but I decided not to. I was wrong. I’ve apologized. The pictures I posted were not mine. I’ve said it sooo many times that pics are borrowed. Guys are still coming at me, I can take it though thanks for the positive vibes,’’ she posted.
